I have a Master of Fine Arts degree in nonfiction writing from Penn State University, which I received in 1997. Since then I have worked variously as an editor, project manager, assistant creative director at an online advertising agency, and freelance writer.

Most recently, I received a 2005 Emerging Artist Fellowship in Creative Nonfiction from the Delaware Division of the Arts.

I have experience in the field of health writing for consumers, including children's health, aging and eldercare, and writing for pharmaceutical Web sites. I have done a great deal of writing for the Web.

I have published two essays, both memoir, and am currently working on a book about traveling with my young son, tentatively titled *The Mother of All Trips: 13 Months, 8 Stops, 1 Toddler*.
