Barden grew up and lived in Michigan for 48 years. 3 years ago, he moved to Colorado, seeking the beauty and energy of the mountains. As he hoped, his creativity was unleashed by these energies, as he has just published his first book, "Andawehi, Sister of the Wolf". It is an inspirational/mystery about a modern Cherokee woman who has kept the ancinet ways of her people. Because of this, she is able to rise above many challenges, and do what the police and the courts seem powerless to do. Her grandfather keeps her on the Red Road, and gives the reader much Cherokee wisdom to enjoy.
Barden's second book is due to be released by late January, named "Buffalo Stew for Indigenous Hearts". It is a book of heart warming short stories he has written that apply the American Indian Wisdom and thought to life's situations.
Barden is currently working on his third book, "Father Lone Hawk", due out this summer, 2001. It is about a Catholic Priest who was adopted (or was he) off the reservation, is called to, and haunted by, his Indian roots. When he begins to learn and trace his roots, he finds much more than blood relatives waiting for him.
Interests: The American Indian Culture, Wisdom and Spirituality, and spreading the beauty I find in them through my stories.
