My writing has taken a new turn since the death of my son, and I seek to educate and comfort. My cookbook of memories, "Slices of Sunlight", was published in 2000 and in the spring of 2003, "Down the Cereal Aisle," made its debut. Also published is my booklet, "31 Tributes of Love". Essays, poems and articles of mine have appeared in print and online in various magazines. I am a regular contributor to the web site, How to Make a Family.
For two years I was the editor of the Wake County Chapter's newsletter for Compassionate Friends. I was asked to become the editor of LARGO, a bereavement magazine. Over two years ago I launched an E-zine, Tributes, which is a free monthly publication for bereaved parents and siblings.
Raised in Japan, my interest in the world and other cultures is great. I have traveled all over and enjoy ethnic foods. I graduated with a BS in Social Work from Eastern Mennonite University in 1983. Interests: self-help, cooking, writing from heartache, travel, raising children, bereavement self-help and support
