Nancy Marie Brown is the author of five books of nonfiction for general readers:

She has over 30 years’ experience as a writer and editor. From 1981 to 2003, she wrote for an award-winning magazine published by Penn State University, Research/Penn State. She holds a master’s degree in comparative literature from Penn State, where she specialized in the literature of the Middle Ages. Freelance since 2003, she lives in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont with her husband, the writer Charles Fergus.
