Writing, for the writer, is never hard. The questions that plague the reader rarely occur to the writer, and if they do, they're usually channeled through the muse, assuming the shape of the story. Having my first short story collection published has been a wild ride that I'm still holding on to. The book--Name the Boy: Short Stories--represents my creative thesis from Goddard College. Before that I wrote several novels, two of which were published online to little or no notice. I've written for national publications, as well as my local newspaper. I teach writing at the college level, and through workshops. And if that weren't enough, I'm an innkeeper in Stowe, Vermont. Stop in and say hello sometime.
Interests: I'm as passionate about teaching as I am about writing. To inhabit the space between representation and reality is an honor. To pass that along is a duty.
