With B.A. degrees in English and dance from the University of California in Santa Barbara, I began my split career in New York City dancing on MTV and off Broadway while working as a copy editor for a small publishing company. I served as a transcriptionist for television (Hiram Brooks) and print, including The Diplomatic World News and Wall Street Publications. Considering the competition, I was pleasantly shocked when my manuscript with a supernatural twist, Stealing Monkey, (now titled One Who Forgives Sweet) won Colorado University’s Jovanovich Imaginative Award for best graduate thesis. It went on to receive finalist status in a Nidus Literary Journal contest. I am seeking representation with a kindred agent with a great sense of humor. Currently, between shoveling manure and rehearsing for the next show, I teach online (www.lsswritingschool.com) and in a middle school, act as writing coach (www.thewritersarbor.com) and write for a local monthly newspaper. My poetry, articles and short stories have been published in literary journals and magazines as well as in two books by Lucia Capacchione and I will be a presenter at the Muse Online Writer’s Conference.
