I'm 15 at this time of writing (May 29, 2007). I like hardcore punk music, but will listen to anything: Warren Zevon, Beastie Boys, Mos Def, Rise Against, Elton John. Quality, not Genre, is what is important.

That also shows in my interests with writings. Poems, stories, novels, I like them all. It is not the story, but the storytelling, that makes a piece enjoyable for me. To prove this, I'm sure someone could write an intricate and enthralling piece of a caterpillar munching on a leaf and that tale alone would be better than the script writing of Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith.

There were/are two primary inspirations that led me to start writing. The hardcore-punk band Rise Against and their beautiful, lyric-heavy songs, and Bernard Cornwell's Vagabond. I'm sure there are many others that have fed me ideas, but those are the only ones I'm aware of. :)

I like to write to give a message, usually a strong one. I like to motivate, move people, but speeches are not my thing. I prefer metaphors that get their job done but aren't overly confusing and vague. I like to give a plain message but tell it well. However, I don't like to tell anyone who asks me directly what the message is, for the author cannot even predict the life of the words once written. They come to me, I merely write them down.

I've never taken a "writing class"(not like they offer any in the 10th grade), and probably will not. I agree with Einstein in that it is truly a miracle when creativity survives a formal education. I don't like being restricted by rules and "IT HAS TO BE THAT WAY." Writing isn't about restraints, and it's very capable of being a tool to push boundaries with.

I am interested in getting published (for the message, not the money), and am open to any agents/publishers (I'm not exactly sure how the whole system works, perhaps someone could email me an explanation?)

Something that's come to me recently is the desire to be in a band. Punk band, or whatever. Something to sing a message. If there's any vocalist able to offer some tips, I'd greatly appreciate.

Last but not least, I like criticism, and like to think I take it well (I may not listen to it, but I can take it :P).

I'll add more to this Biography as more happens.

Interests: Video Games, words, music, etc. Roleplaying on the odd occasion. I'm always at the computer.
