I am an award winning entertainment costume designer based in Los Angeles. My design work includes film, television, themed entertainment, theater and opera with projects in New York, London, Japan, Spain and in regional theaters all over the U.S.
I currently write for the entertainment design journal TD&T Theater Design & Technology and freelance gallery guides for costume exhibitions. I am a California Board Member of The Costume Society of America and a member of United Scenic Artists.
Current topics include "Picture Perfect-Costume in Art and Film" "Forbidden Fruit- The History of Costume in Western Pictorial Art" "Revival or Retro? Fashion Inspirations from the Past" "Change by Design- the Fashions of Rudi Gernreich" "Japanese Noh Costumes in Performance" and dozens of case studies of film costume design.
Interests: I write and accept speaking engagements about entertainment costume design, the confluence of costume and art, costume history and cultural observations of fashion.
