Lanny Boutin is a freelance writer with more than 150 articles to her name. She specializes in health and parenting articles for magazines like Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Homemakers, Treehouse Canadian Family, Mocha Sofa, Your Health and Canadian Geographic. She wrote a monthly Edmonton history column, for Our World 50 plus magazine for three years and now pens a humour column, At Daze End, for the Morinville Mirror newspaper.

Her first children’s non-fiction book, John Diefenbaker: The outsider who refused to quit was published by Jackfruit press,, and launched in February 2006. It is part of the Warts and All Series and was recently included on Edmonton Public Schools Board’s notables list, of must have classroom books distributed to their 200 plus schools. It received positive reviews from children’s book editor, Susan Perren in the Globe and Mail, Laurie Greenwood of Global TV Edmonton and a four out of four rating in CM Magazine,

Mummies: All Wrapped Up, her second children’s book, published by Reed Publishing of New Zealand, is a 32-page fully illustrated text, designed to teach children how to write informational reports. It was published for the in-school market.

Lanny’s first adult non-fiction narrative, Titanic: The Canadian Connection, published by Altitude Publishing, was released late last fall to rave reviews.
