Agent: Stephen Everett Cloverdale, Oregon, United States Email: wildrunar@yahoo.com I am an adventure addict who enjoys mountain biking, surfing and expedition racing. I am a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan '06-07) and while I don't write military fiction, my real-world experience creeps into my stories. In addition to writing I am attending classes at Oregon State University where I am seeking a degree in Natural Resources Science, with an emphasis on wildlife conservation.
My novels reflect my deep love of action and adventure. I grew up dreaming that I might write the next Indiana Jones adventure, and while that hasn't quite happened, I've managed to craft a couple thrillers that simply explode off the page.
My first novel, Magic Mirror, focuses on the crisis that ensues when the body of a scientist--missing for nearly two decades--is found in an Oregon lake. I won't give away too much, but the novel touches on themes as diverse as spoon-bending, biological warfare, election tampering, and...well, the end of the world.
My second novel, The Shroud of Heaven, which is available now as an ebook and scheduled for print publication in 2009, is the first in a series that owes quite a bit to a certain fictional archaeologist. The follow-up, Into the Black, is a finalist in the Clive Cussler Award writing competition (winner to be announced Oct. 2008) and currently in need of a publisher.
