Incline Village, Nevada, United States
When I was five years old, I was escorted to my first motion picture by my two older sisters and an older brother. The film was JAWS.
After waiting in line for a half-hour or more, I was led into the darkened theater and thus began my fascination with cinema and its infectious, enthralling power.
My sister tried in vain to cover my eyes during the gorrid scences, but with some effort I was able to see the full-spectrum of horror that Spielberg et al had so nimbly crafted into a series of images meant to disturb.
Now I write. I write for magazines, journals, billboards, radio ads, print ads, the web, and anything else I can sink my expressive teeth into.
But, I have the desire to write and make movies. I can thank that summer afternoon in a small theater, with my eyes fixated on the story of a monster fish, for this.
