Janice Anne Costa, author of Grand Master Baths (Creative Homeowner, 2008) and
co-author of "Everything and the Kitchen Sink: Remodel Your Kitchen Without
Losing Your Mind" (Andrews McMeel, April 2005), has spent 18 years indulging her
passion for home design. As long-time editor of Kitchen & Bath Design News, the
industry’s leading kitchen and bath design magazine, she is uniquely keyed into
the design world, thanks to an intimate rapport with her monthly readership of
design professionals—a readership that encompasses more than 51,000 kitchen
dealers, designers, remodelers, architects, builders, fabricators and installers.

A well-known writer, editor, speaker, and industry presence for nearly two decades,
Janice has spoken at regional and national industry events, home shows,
educational forums and TV lifestyle programs. She has done hundreds of TV and
radio appearances and hosted satellite media tours on both coasts. Janice has
also served on a variety of industry trend panels and product manufacturer
advisory boards, both in the U.S. and abroad, addressing design, product, and
color trends. She has acted as a judge for both national and international bath
design contests, including Woman’s Day Best New Kitchen and Bath Products
competition, Delta Faucet’s “Just Say Wow!” contest, and London’s Bathrooms +
Kitchens Magazine “Designer of the Year” competition, among others. She has
edited numerous design books developed by the National Kitchen & Bath
Association.

Considered by the popular media to be a leading kitchen design expert, Janice has
been interviewed about trends in the design industry by CNN, HGTV.com, USA
Today, the LA Times, U.S. News & World Report, the Chicago Sun-Times,
Woman’s Day, The Wall Street Journal, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington
Post, the New York Times, and a host of other publications. She is also a
frequently requested speaker at design and remodeling events, seminars and
product showcases, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Janice attends dozens of major industry trade shows, design exhibits, show
houses, and design centers to keep abreast of the hottest new bath design trends
and product innovations in the U.S. And, recognizing the powerful influence of
European style trends on contemporary design in the States, she is also a frequent
attendee at all the major European design events. From Italy’s renowned Cersaie
event and London’s Bathrooms + Kitchens Exhibition to Frankfurt’s ISH show,
international kitchen and bath design showcases abound, and Janice tracks the
most cutting-edge trends of this ever-evolving art by being right at the forefront of
the industry.

Janice is also active in the New York dog community, and is founder and co-owner
of Canine Club Getaway (www.canineclubgetaway.com), the Lake George, NY-
based resort vacation for dogs and the people who love them. She has appeared
on The CBS Evening News with Katie Couric and Connecticut's Channel 12 Pet
Talk, and been written up in New York's Newsday and The Daily News, Every Day
With Rachel Ray magazine, The Washingtonian, AOL's Paw Nation and numerous
other publications and popular Web sites. She writes a regular dog-friendly design
column for FIDO Friendly magazine, and blogs about all things dog-related on the
Plainview Patch. A certified test evaluator for Therapy Dogs International and The
American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen program, she frequently speaks
about animal related topics, including dog-friendly travel, training and obedience,
shelter and rescue work, recreational dog activities and therapy work. She is
currently at work on a dog memoir.

Janice has also written on a variety of lifestyle topics from wine to fine chocolates,
