I am looking for an agent to represent my newest offering entitled, Shasta Dakota. Below is a sample query. There are more battlefields in life, than just those fought between nations. There are three elements of the human condition that are constantly at war. The soul. The heart. The mind. And no one wears these battle scars better than Nathan Irving, a 26 year old opinion columnist from Ashland, Oregon. Teamed up with an auspicious four friend bouquet, they set out into the lush forests of Northern California in search of a lost cabin, built by a slick entrepreneur turned recluse named Henry Cordell. After a seemingly fateful discovery of an unpublished memoir on the hard drive of a second-hand PC, an amazing story is unearthed. A celebration of life, beauty and intrigue beyond their self absorbed realm of imagination, and likewise a step by step guide to the location of Henry‘s cabin where there is rumored to be a small fortune. But like the duality of the universe, things eventually take a turn for the unexpected. Gunshots rip the fabric of the night. Blood is shed. Betrayal and greed taint their young minds. All combined and struck like a match against the breast of mother nature, Nathan Irving, Jade Newberg and Tony Torgeson are thrust into a unique recluse experience of their own. It's a fight for survival and a fight for understanding in a world on fire.
