As a performing artist Radel Parks has danced with 2SB (Spirit, Soul & Body) Fine Arts Ministries for five years, becoming technically knowledgeable in hip-hop, liturgical, ballet, ethnic, modern and jazz dancing. She began writing short stories and poems at the age of 12 and has since entered her work in several competitions and literary mediums. In 2000 she was the first ever poet to ever win the much coveted ‘Overall Winner’ title of The Christian Youth Talent Jam. In 2002 she also came second runner up for the King Eric Talent Search Award giving a stunning dramatic presentation of an original piece, The Other Voice.

She attended the New York Film Academy in London to study screenwriting and majored in English Language & Literature at The College of The Bahamas. She is the author of Black Pages, her first collection of poetry (published 2004), and is in the process of producing a drama and poetry album entitled Dramoetry.

Radel is also the Public Relations and Booking Officer for Dunamus Soundz Records, and the founder and director of the YAL Drama Team. She has adequately performed as a Public Relations officer for Total Youth Church, the young arm of Bahamas Faith Ministries and other segments of BFM. She operates as a freelance writer, dramatist and performing arts consultant.

Radel’s former employment includes working at One Rib Publications, a self-publishing company, as the office manager and senior editor, and the Director of Publications for CNE (Christian, News & Events Magazine). In August of 2005 she joined efforts with her twin sister, Ranel Hanna, to form an independent theatre and film production company: RHanna Productions, now called RP Productions. In that same month, they hosted the first annual Act Right! Dramatic Arts Workshop. Future plans include the writing, directing and producing of a drama play entitled ‘White Lillies’ (October, 2006) and a short film ‘On Deathrow’ (August. 2006). She is presently an advertising account executive at Carter Marketing in Nassau, Bahamas. Radel is married to Lavard ‘Manifest’ Parks, CEO and founder of ‘Dunamus Soundz Records’ – the Caribbean’s hottest hip hop label.
