ALI SADEEQ
KANO, Nigeria Email: lsadeeq@yahoo.com I was born on the 15th of July 1971 in the ancient city of Kano in Nigeria. Started my primary education in 1974 at Roni Boys Boarding Primary School where I passed out in 1980. I joined Government Secondary School Gwammaja 1 and graduated in 1986. I was admitted to Bauchi State Polytechnic in 1988 and passed out in 1990. That year I joined Bayero University Kano where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Language and religion in 1995. I did my National Service in 1996. In 1997 I got my first job with a private Airline company (Kabo Air). In 2000 I was offered a job in our Capital city to serve as a personal assistant to the National Youth Leader of the ruling party (P.D.P.) Up to 2003 when my boss lost election and I joined teaching profession. A newly opened radio station, Freedom Radio, asked me to be hosting a Science and Religion program every week, which I am still doing. I am married with two children.
My book is about the relationship between science and religion with great emphasis on the idea of the origin of matter and life (evolution). For almost two centuries, Since the publication of Darwin’s “Origins of Species” in the 1850’s, Religious scholars vehemently opposes his research despite its Scientific standing and rightly so because Darwin on his part completely eliminate God’s hand in creation and evolution. The debate, between creationist and evolutionist, still rages on. I critically examine Darwin’s evolutionary theory, sidelining its loopholes and harmonize it with explicit explanations of evolution according to the scriptures. I have shown that bias, in the first place, was what pitted Science against Religion but in reality they are complementary friends rather than opposing foes. The book has solved one of the greatest mystery of our time, that is by harmonising science and religion on the issue of evolution like no other book in history.
