Maria Makeski

Maria Makeski is a Wayne State University student, majoring in theatre and film. She also gets trained in Marketing and Management at Schoolcraft College, Michigan.

Early stages of Maria's writing career begin in Macedonia with numerous publications for teen poetry magazines and an award winning children's poem 'Your Name' in 1999. Before moving to the United States, Maria had her first staged play 'Vortex of Shadows' in 2003.

Maria's been published with Poetry Harbor, Elder& Leemaur Publishers, Macedonian Digest, and The International Library of Poetry. Her first chapbook will be coming out by the end of 2006.
