Erika Staples is a poet and author of two books,"Piece of My Soul" and "Spirals of Nature" Erika was born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina and was introduced to poetry in the fourth grade. It wasn't until the untimely death of her seventeen-year-old brother that she truly started to pour her heart and soul into her writing. Inspired by grief, worldly values, motherhood, salvation, and desires of love and the loneliness it causes. At seventeen-years-old Erika's life was given meaning, after the birth of her daughter. At eighteen, Erika started writing an abundance of poetry, and at the young age of eighteen she has two completed books that will be in print after her nineteenth birthday.

Erika's poems still come to life and each emotion is revealed through the truthful and painful words of poetry that God planted in her heart to share with the world.
