Most of my present writing interest is in sci-fi, with a little sprinkling of odd fantasy to express those ideas for which I can't come up with a plausible explanation. I grew up reading Zelazny, Heinlein, Asimov, Salvatore, Terry Brooks, Bova, Joseph Heller, Hemingway, and many others in no particular order. I hope to eventually muster the mental fortitude to tackle Joyce, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Presently I'm spending some time on William Gibson to make up for my ignorance of cyberpunk, but more of my reading is sleep inducing financial material. Looking for friends to read, write, and generally find an excuse to drink coffee with.
