J. Hale Turner
Email: jhaleturner@yahoo.com "I may no longer sing, dance or draw pictures; but God has given me the joy to do it all in my writings," pretty much sums up J. Hale Turner.
"Growing up, reading and writing (letters, journals, short stories) served as a quiet pastime in our household. Then being introduced to musicals, plays, art museums opened a whole new and fascinating world for me." Compared to her peers she was a late bloomer -- but it didn't deter her from learning and relearning all the things she always dreamed of doing. "Art is a joy I will always cherish. Without the experience, I would not be doing what I'm enjoying today."
During each parent's illness, she chose to write children stories to help her parents regain their mental clarity and dexterity. Having witnessed positive results, Ms. Turner shares her experience and advocates family reading in her community.
Today, she continues to write stories not only for children, but also for the entire family to enjoy.
With works in progress, Ms. Turner looks forward to new releases in the near future. She lives with her family in North Carolina. Interests: Reading and gardening, classical music and jazz.
