Kenneth Jungersen

Lynchburg, Virginia, United States

Home page:

"A Modern-day Indiana Jones" was what one newspaper headline called me. Perhaps my life has been a bit 'different.' As a child I roamed the Amazonian rain forest with the natives. I grew up traveling and exploring with a father and grandfather, both of whom were made 'Fellows' (meaning that they contributed to the geographic knowledge of the world) of the prestigious Explorers Club.

Aside from my many writing credits - which are focused on technical and historical topics - I have led an archeological project to succesfully relocate an artifact that may date to a millenium ago. I arranged for US Navy support in that project. Research has also placed me at the flight deck controls of a 747 and to sites on three continents. I have been priviledged to go to sea aboard CVN-73, the USS George Washington, to witness air operations.

Interests: Technical writing - User Manuals, brochures, reports, etc, Other Writing - Historical (Norse & Spanish New World explorations; Civil War), action/adventure fiction, historical fiction, military, government & politics (commentary)
