His passion for education, creativity, and excellence is demonstrated by his broad education and work experience. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Davis majoring in Psychophysiology he completed postgraduate work at Baylor Medical School, he then completed a doctoral degree from the Union Institute in Cincinnati Ohio in Psychology. In addition, Jim is one of the few people certified as an Elite Master Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). His leadership experience includes serving as CEO of Sage Seminars, Executive Director of the Neuro-Sonics and Advanced Training Institutes, Consultant Manager of the Center for Professional Development, and current CEO of the Peal Consulting Group in Santa Barbara, California.
Jim has also been on the leading edge in creating and implementing programs in diversity. He served as the founding Chairman of the Diversity Committee at Pacifica Graduate Institute, as well as a Commissioner on the Affirmative Action Commission for Santa Barbara County. In addition to being an international diversity lecturer and a trainer, he has worked with several major corporations in the U.S. to raise awareness and facilitate the implementation of diversity initiatives.
Recognized internationally for his ability to inspire and motivate people, Jim consistently leads businesses and people to higher levels of competence, confidence, and productivity. He has the unique ability to "read" complex situations, and design, initiate and complete the appropriate intervention. Jim’s reputation as a powerful, master communicator who leads executives and their teams to higher levels of excellence, competence, and productivity is the trademark of his 20- year career. He has integrated many of these innovative leadership principles as a guest author in the book Power Tools, edited by Ann Mah and published by Compass Series Publishing in 2005 in Chapter 11 entitled ‘Getting to the Real Conversations in Business’.
