I am 46 years old, mother of 4 and grandmother of 8. I have been writing poetry since I was probably about 6 years old. It was sort of an escape for me and a warming release I needed. I have been writing songs and stories since about 2000. Once I started, it hasn't stopped. I have written hundreds since. Usually when I sit down to write, I will at least write probably about 30 pieces. I never go back to change anything. Many of my poems have been turned into songs, and then I just tweek it a bit, to fit music phrasing. But, as far as going back or working on my work, I don't. It comes out the way it is and stays that way. I will write a poem or a song in about a minute or two. I will be driving down the road or laying in bed and the entire poem or song will go through my head and there will be a melody if it is a song and not if just a poem. I can lay in bed and can't sleep and the story will just go on and on and I might have went through two or three chapters in my head and I can really feel the words and carry on conversations and what the character is thinking. It is strange but I love it.

I have released two books with Publish America. These are collections of poetry and songs and they cover every topic imaginable, including child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence and missing children. Many of my entries are from the victim of such things and even entries from the abuser's side of twisted mind.

I feel so grateful to God for giving me this gift of writing and I have seen how my writing can affect lives and that is what makes it wonderful.

I have been a speaker and an advocate for the fight against child abuse and domestic violence for four years and talked to children and teens about child abuse and domestic violence and the importance of being and remaining positive, even if they can't remove themselves from the situation, because I truly believe that is where the survival comes from. You have to be able to love yourself and feel your self worth or you drown.

I am devoting my life to writing and I am spending my time right now, not working outside the home and dedicating it to my writing and music. I am also an artist and sing my songs that I write as well.

Interests: Writing anything really. I love poetry, songs, short stories, novels, reviews, reporting.
