Born in Winnipeg and headed west from there. BA from Uni of Calgary. Worked a little, enough to buy a one-year open ticket to the South Pacific. Packed photo gear, pen, paper, shorts and tanktops. Sold her travel stories, and was hooked.
Arrived back to Calgary to enter corporate world. She married and they had two kids. Published over 1,000 articles in print and on 'net. Hung up suits to be with the kids. Wrote and published Edith's Paws, her first work of fiction. Worked crazy hard and flipped house after house with who is now her ex.
Kicked career up a notch by moving to Vancouver and enrolling in the documentary production program at Capilano. Spent lots of money, built up some confidence. Now she lives with the kids by the cold salt water and rocky sand of Crescent Beach. But it's a beach!
Lisa is currently developing Edith's Paws into a tv series as an independent production. She has two scripts in the works for the big screen.
Her website is www.ljparker.net
It's under renovation as she tries to figure out how to upload articles.
