Fred Minnick

louisville, Kentucky, United States

Fred Minnick is a versatile writer and photographer. He has covered the Iraq war, business, sports, food, wine and just about everything else.

In 2006, Simon & Schuster included Minnick’s Iraq war writing in the book Blog of War: Front-Line Dispatches from Soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan and critics widely acclaimed his essay “NCO Alley.” His Iraq experience led to Camera Boy: An Army Journalist’s War in Iraq (Hellgate Press, October 2009).

Today, he is an extremely successful international freelancer who has become well known for his food, beverage and wine work. In 2008, Certified Angus Beef commissioned Minnick to write its company history book and in January 2009, Minnick was one of only a few international journalists invited to attend the International Cognac Summit.

He regularly writes about the following industries: general business, investing, personal finance, retail, hospitality, landscape, construction, agriculture, beef, engineering, politics, celebrities, litigation, military and government.
