She is in the process of self-syndicating her food column, North Country Kitchen. Her work in learning disabilities and neurological impairments is based on her own personal experiences living with NLD as well as interviews with individuals who live with these disabilities. Her first book, Employment for Individuals with Asperger Syndrome or Non-verbal Learning Disability: Stories and Strategies, published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, 2004. She has spoken on issues of employment and disabilities to various groups, including the Vermont Parent Information Center and the Nonverbal Learning Disabilities Association. She has a Master’s degree in Library Science and has written on many topics for various consumer magazines, including articles on career issues for Educational Opportunity and Minority Engineer.
