Warren Gardner MacDonald was born in Medford, Massachusetts in 1933. His family was of modest means and they worked hard to provide the basics of food, clothing and shelter during the depression years.

In 1950, Warren enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving for three years. While in Korea he was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, two Purple Hearts, the Korean Campaign medal with two bronze stars, and other earned ribbons and medals. He spent eighteen months in Army Hospitals recovering from wounds received in combat.

This military experience resulted in the manuscript "Mid-Century Warrior: A Soldiers Journey to Korea", 234 pages, including personal and US Signal Corps photos related to the text.

He is a graduate of Boston University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree and Long Island University with a Masters in Business Administration degree.

Warren has worked in management postions for Fortune 500 companies; the U.S. State Department with the U.S. Agency for International Development, and has lectured in Marketing Management at Northeastern University in Boston. His working career brought him to Central, South America, and Europe.

He speaks, reads and writes Spanish.

Married with four children, he is retired, and resides with his wife Dorothy Ellen in Jupiter, Florida

He is working on a second manuscript with a working title: “Banana Man: Journey with One Foot on a Banana Peel”.
