I am an aspiring, but time-challenged writer who would like to throw off the chains of corporate America and spend all of my time working on the dozen or so GREAT ideas for stories that continually rattle around in my skull. I have finished writing two novels and am working on two others.
Well, not all of my time, since we have three boys who spend all of THEIR time as taxi customers getting driven to school, band practice, and an abnormally large number of simultaneous sporting practices and games.
I have a Ph.D. in chemistry but really haven't used too much of that part of my background in my stories. I have incorporated science as the background in one mystery novel called THE GADGET, but its sequel only uses the characters and no science.
I grew up watching a lot of movies on TV and still enjoy the old black and whites, especially adventures and mysteries. I had comics, and still have a hero-worship complex. I love Sherlock Holmes, and am beginning on a novel for older kids featuring the Canon as the theme. In short, I suppose I never really grew up. It's time I begin to use the stored and collective pieces of my life to tell stories.
