ANISUR RAHMAN Anisur Rahman was born in Madhupur under Tangail district in Bangladesh in 1978. He graduated in English Literature and did master in English and Linguistics from the University of Dhaka.
Empty Glass --- collection of English poems (Agamee, Dhaka 2003) is the first book of his Poems. Purbopurusher Pon ---Pledge of Ancient Generation, collection of Bengali poems (Agamee, Dhaka 2004) is his second book of poems. Rahman’s poetry deals with a variety of contents- nature, love, politics and pains and pleasure of life. His creative vision endowed with intelligence, skill and articulation has made a beginning to create a unique witty voice.
He writes in both Bengali and English. His next anthology of haikus The River Flows in Bengali and English will come out in the market soon. He has dramatised Franz Kafka’s fiction ‘The Metamorphosis’. Centre for Asian Theatre in collaboration with Goethe-Institut Dhaka is staging the play.
