Maggi Jones grew up in Canada, and took her first trip at 6 weeks of age. Seeing other places has never lost its appeal and her world photographic and writing portfolio illustrates this (http://www.maggi-jones.com). Being an energetic traveller, she has cycled extensively through Central America, across Europe and Australia’s East Coast as well as scuba dived throughout the world, trekked in Nepal, Thailand, and Malaysia and survived local bus journeys throughout Morocco, India and Indonesia.
Not surprisingly, travel writing has become Maggi's love and she now supplies editors from Canada to Korea with pieces that explore the weird and wonderful places she has visited.
At the moment, she is completing writing “From Bean to Borscht – on the Road East” – a travelogue on bicycle through ten different countries, all fascinating in their own right, although it must be said some are better bread bakers than others. Pitched at the active traveller or those who prefer their own armchair, in the age range of upwards of 25 years and with a wide experience level,
She now divides her time between London and Andalusia, Spain helping run active tour company Cycling Country (http://www.cyclingcountry.com) and restoring a 16th century cortijo. To keep a completely full calendar Maggi does much work with well known British companies with her commercial photography which can be seen on her website.
She has a Bachelor of Visual Arts and History and Bachelor of Education with Certified Art Teacher Training from Canadian universities and so her writing captures this desire to inform and interest others in getting to know the world.
