Diane Thompson
Tallahassee, Florida, United States Email: dogzilla@comcast.net Wrote my first article in 8th grade for the school paper and I was hooked. I wrote and edited for papers throughout high school and majored in journalism in college. Completed my degree in Journalism in 1991. Was Associate Editor at Florida Keys Magazine in the early 90's and then went to another publication called Predictions. I should have predicted its death because we cranked out two issues before it died. Have been working in the corporate world as a writer and editor since the mid-90s, including a stint with BMW as a technical writer, as well as a lot of marketing/PR and advertising work for different companies. Currently publish on the web sometimes for fun, in print sometimes for money and will edit for chocolate! Employed as an editor with Harcourt Assessment, inc. but always looking for more work, more clips, more opportunities to refine language. I'm also a stickler for semantics, a characteristic that my friends find extremely annoying. Heh. Interests: gardening, medicinal plants, wayward dog and cat rescue, science, weather, music, art, philosophy, religion, geneology, canoeing/kayaking, boating, beaching, cooking, wine, travel, there could be more...
