Who is Sabas Whittaker?

He is a former merchant marine turned author, composer, recording artist, producer, lyricist, poet, painter, and bilingual stage and screen playwright.

He is also an independent researcher and lecturer... a 20-year veteran mental health worker, formerly with the State of Connecticut's Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. Sabas currently holds a Masters Degree in Fine Arts, a masters degree in history from University of San Lorenzo, a diploma in film productions and a certificate in film directing from the Hollywood Institute of Cinematography and is considering pursuing a Ph.D in history and pastoral psychology.

He has been an active member of the American Society of Composer's Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) since 1991. Has written and published 4 books, 2 collections poetry, Vestiges of A Journey and Tears of Joy Peace and Harmony. Sabas has also written a book on anthropology Africans In The Americas (Our Footprints Throughout The World and a book on social and clinical psychology Away From The Field. Recently completed a book on the history of mental health and its theological perspective on mental illness Faith In The Field and is currently working on the completion on a period romance novel.
