I'm young and beautiful and i've always liked writing ,since i was a kid .
I have my published works Plays:
A play 'THE WAR IN THE SKY', 'WHERE HER LOYALTY LIES', 'MURKY WATERS'
Comic Books 'HALF', 'KINETIC, 'KABOOM' and 'LARA COMICS' and many other projects on the way.
Poetry and song writing for me is a soothing way to slow down and relax, but none of this has been used or published but will be soon.
I have scripted Screenplays, animations, plays, comics.
BUSOLA ELEGBEDE is a screenplay writer, poet, songwriter, comic book writer and a playwright.
She is fun loving and a lover of the arts; it is the perfect canvas and stage, one that can open our inner minds to what we may unintentionally overlook
As a participant in The Royal Court Theatre and British Council’s ‘NEW WRITING IN DRAMA PROJECT’, in Nigeria from 2007 till date. She developed plays ‘WHERE HER LOYALTY LIES’, ‘THE WORM’S UNDER HIS FEET’.
In 2010, she participated in The Royal Court Theatre’s ‘YORUBA PROJECT World Stages London’ which involved writers from NIGERIA (Busola Elegbede, ROTIMI BABATUNDE), AMERICA (KATORI HALL), CUBA (CHEDDY, GERARDO, YUNIOR), BRAZIL (MARCUS, CLAUDIO SIMEON)and THE UNITED KINGDOM (FEMI, LYDIA ADETUNJI) The Project was facilitated by DIRECTOR RUFUS NORRIS, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR ELYSE DODGSON; where she developed ‘DRUMS OF LIFE’.
She has written several plays; ‘The War in the Sky’ a satire and musical drama depicting the elements. It has been performed at The Nimbus Center, The National Arts Theatre Iganmu, Lagos and The Main Auditorium University Of Lagos Nigeria.
‘The War In The Sky’ was longlisted for the NLNG Literary Prize 2008
‘The Worms Under His Feet’ was performed at The Jerwood Theatre, The Royal Court Theatre Sloane Square U.K. As part of The Royal Court Theatre and British Council’s ‘NEW WRITING IN DRAMA PROJECT’
Other published plays include ‘Where Her Loyalty Lies’ and ‘Murky Waters’.
She has also written comic books ‘Half’, ‘Kaboom’, ‘Kinetic’ and ‘Lara Comic’.
