Honey Pen

2004: My husband and I both write. We want to write full-time, but we pay bills by teaching college English (me) and programming (him). Between us we've written five novels, 2 1/2 screenplays, some poetry, some non-fiction, and lots of short stories. My husband has published some non-fiction political satire and a short story. I've published . . . a recipe.

But-- I have a good agent, so I am hopeful.

I have two teenagers. We also have two cats and a dog and a dream to live on a mini-farm with chickens, goats, and ducks. Maybe a cow.

UPDATE (2009): I quit writing and teaching to open two restaurants, and now we live on that dreamed-of mini-farm. Closed a restaurant, and am back at writing. (Lost the agent and the desire to write after getting *this* close to signing a deal with Penguin/Plume. C'est la vie.)

Interests: gardening, beer making, wine drinking, travel, writing (of course), reading (of course)
