Mark DeWolf is Nova Scotia's most recognized Sommelier. It was while working as Maitre D’ at Maple restaurant Mark completed his Sommelier training. Mark’s dedication to the subject was evident as he passed the rigorous International Sommelier Guild’s final exam with the second highest mark in Canada. Following Maple, Mark took a position as an editor of one North America’s largest on-line wine publications, Appellation America. Since leaving Appellation America, Mark has started his own beverage consultancy company. The focus of the company is educating the hospitality industry on the relationship of wine and food. Mark currently works with many of the province’s most prominent restaurants and is co-instructor of Atlantic Canada's Sommelier certification course. Mark is also the Food and Drinks Editor of the region's largest beverage and entertaining magazine - Occasions. In his spare time Mark can also be found taking guests to the wineries of the Annapolis Valley as co-owner of Valley Wine Tours – a tour company providing Sommelier led excursions to Nova Scotia wineries.
