I am 28 years old and live in North Carolina. I work a third shift dead end job and go to college during the day along with helping my will-be (better be) husband run a business from home.
I worked for a little more than a year doing freelance work for a local newspaper. I liked the work but it did not sustain me financially and I had to give it up for a full time job. And honestly it was a little tedious. I mean it was great to have someone pay me to write but it was all just stating the facts and left me no option to be creative. I'm a writer, not an interviewer. I would rather be up close an personal with my keyboard than a living, breathing person anytime!
I have been writing books since I was in High School. I have started and quit six different manuscripts. I don't think I ever really had the right idea until now. (Seventh time's the charm, right?) This latest idea was a dream I had and although I realize how utterly insane that must sound especially to those of you who have worked tirelessly thinking of ideas for the great American novel but remember this, Mary Shelley dreamed up Frankenstein (it's true look it up!) so never underestimate the power of what comes to you in a dream.
