I began writing at a young age and I am not talking about my A,B,C's. I am talking about the real thing. Of course back then I started with the easiest format...poetry. It was relatively easy for me to think of words that rhymed with one another. For me that was all it was, but others could see a talent there. Teachers, parents, and friends alike would all push me to do more and not understanding it fully, I complied. I wrote and wrote. I entered contests and won. Recently, I would say within that past 2 years or so, I decided to take on book writing. I started with children's books and I managed to complete about 3 of them before I took on novel writing. I did it at first just to see if I could swing it. It would be a great notch under my belt if I could put a novel together with just a concept on paper. As I continued to write, I discovered that I loved it. I loved the way the ideas just popped into my head and I could put them on paper and it all flowed together. It made sense. After I finished my first novel, I would just look at it and say to myself 'I did that,' and it felt great!
