Poets on Place, an interview anthology / travel memoir that resulted from his year-long trip around the country interviewing and photographing 62 American poets was published by Utah State University Press in 2005. The book contains new interviews with Mark Strand, Rita Dove, Charles Wright, David St. John, and others, Six excerpts appeared all of last year in Poets & Writers magazine.
He's also published two books for Prentice Hall, the most recent being Writing that Matters, a first year college rhetoric.
He's published his poetry and fiction widely, including appearances in Virginia Quarterly Review, Antioch Review, North American Review, Carolina Quarterly, Mississippi Review, Ohio Review, New Orleans Review, South Carolina Review, Greensboro Review and elsewhere. He's the poetry editor at Georgetown Review.
