Gideon Cecil

I was born on the 9th of May 1968 in Rose Hall Town,
Corentyne Berbice.
Educated at various private schools.
Wrote 4 collections of poetry for University of Guyana Prize for literature from 1996 to 2002.
Graduate with an Associate's and Bachelor's degree from
Life Christian University Tampa Florida.
Winner of National Library Editor's Choice Poetry Award
in 1993.Winner of Offerings poetry Award in Guyana in
1997.Winner of inter-American press Association essay
Award for my essay on 'Press Freedom'in 1998.
I am also an ordained Minister of the Christian Religion,
licensed marriage officer,Bible college lecturer etc.
I am married and have 2 children.
Publshed 2 collections of poetry.
