I'm a teacher who has a passion for developing materials that help children enjoy learning and that help make the teacher's job easier. I have a master's degree in mathematics and a doctoral degree in mathematics education. I've taught at the elementary, middle school, high school, college, and graduate school levels. Most recently I've taught gifted education for k-3 students, my favorite age. As a parent of four, I've had lots of experience providing children with stimulating educational activities, not only in the classroom, but also in the home.
I've authored 40 educational puzzle books which have sold over 300,000 copies. Seven of my math games have been published.
Other exciting news is that my Aba-Conundrums, a book of puzzles based on the abacus, is a 2010 Parents' Choice Silver Award Winner!
If you're looking for some fun books to stretch critical thinking skills, build logic and reasoning skills, or make learning math an enjoyable adventure, I hope you'll check out some of my books listed below. Age levels range from K to adult.
I also write stories, poems, and puzzles for children's magazines and have had more than 150 acceptances from magazines such as Highlights for Children, Ladybug, Clubhouse Jr., Faces, Fun for Kidz, and The Little Lutheran.
