Winner of a number of writing contests, most recently the first place winner of the 14th Amendment Writing Contest sponsored by The Moultrie News (South Carolina). Staff editor and contributor for Issues in Education, an education-oriented periodical. Editor for two publishing houses in South Carolina: Corinthian Books and Quadrafoil Press. Currently working on a novel called The Open Stage about the amateur music scene, and researching silent screen actress Alice Calhoun.
