The fourth child of an indigent Nigerian family of seven, he lost his father when he was barely eight.
Steve started writing while in the secondary school, but most of these were short stories and poems that were never offered for publication but rather were for his friends’ enjoyment. While in the Polytechnic, he wrote an essay in a semester examination, the examiner was so pleased that the essay ended up in a national newspaper. It was also during this period when he wrote his first screenplay for the home video industry in Nigeria. He has since written more than seven hit home videos. He was the lead writer of IMAGES, a television drama series on HIV/AIDS.
The dream of Steve Kola Ademuwagun is to become world famous as a writer. He wants to be the Sidney Sheldon of his time. He enjoys soul music, thinking, traveling, reading and the best of all, writing. He wants to develop his writing to the point where the whole world would appreciate his efforts. THE AFRICAN STONE is his first novel, he is presently working on the second titled; THE LAST TESTAMENT
