Vijaya Schartz writes paranormal, sensuality and suspense in exotic, fantasy, or futuristic settings. Her award-winning novel, Ashes for the Elephant God, set in India, is in the process of becoming a feature film. Her futuristic series Archangel Crusader and Archangel Checkmate, in print from Blue Planet Books, is now available in MP3 audio. Anax-voohri, her latest paperback, was nominated for the 2006 Reviewers Choice Award at Ecataromance. Her books RELICS and White Tiger both finaled in the Golden Quill contest. Her next book in print will be This Magic Moment, an anthology from Triskelion, and SIEGE, the last book of the Operation Pleiades Series (Book one is Anaz-voohri, book 2 is Relics)Also in print is LOCKDOWN, another sci-fi romance from Triskelion.
Vijaya was the president of the Arizona Authors Association for seven years and is still the editor of the Arizona Literary Magazine, and a book reviewer for various publications. Vijaya hosted her own radio talk show for writers for three years, but she much prefers to write an entertain her readers.
Vijaya is also a closet medievalist and is working on a historical fantasy series based on authentic medieval legends. Interests: Martial arts, travels, skydiving, white water rafting, cats, UFOs, reincarnation, astrology, tarot, fantasy, science-fiction, paranormal, timr travel, etc.
