Kyla Marden-Steinkraus
Email: marden@andrews.edu I've loved telling stories since before I could actually write them. My parents still have cassette tapes of stories that I recorded when I was four-years-old. I've gotten some articles/stories published in small, regional magazines, and last year I won first place in a national short story competition for Insight Magazine. Never heard of it? Neither had I. :-) I want to write novels, primarily, and have three mostly finished manuscripts lying around. I have never had large amounts of time to devote to attempting to publish my writing, as I am 22 and just graduated from college last week. I don't feel that I'm the next Hemmingway or Steinbeck. Half the time I think I'm terrible (and maybe I am), but I am a writer because I cannot imagine doing anything else. My dream is to touch peoples' hearts with my stories and make enough money to eat powdered donuts (my favorite food in the world) on a regular basis. That's all for now. :-) Interests: reading, writing, drawing, painting, photography, board games, hiking, fantasy football
