I am founder/director of Dr. Sally Parenting, www.drsallyparenting.com, a resource site for parents. I am also a professor of early childhood education on the adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University. In addition, I am a parenting specialist who takes theory and research and turns it into a practical form for parents to use. My mission is to help get children off to the best start possible through tips, books, articles, coaching, workshops, presentations, and keynote speeches.
I have these three current books that I use as a basis for my work:
CONSTRUCTIVE PARENTING - for parent skill building and nicknamed "The Instructions."
BABY AND TODDLER LEARNING FUN - for setting up an optimal learning environment for birth to three.
MAKE YOUR OWN PRESCHOOL GAMES - for setting up an optimal learning environment for three to six.
I write for three parenting magazines and am interested in taking on additional writing assignments. I am listed in the database for PPA and will also have a one-sheet at the upcoming convention. I am also available to do other magazine enhancement projects.
Interests: Creativity is it. From that everything else flows. I put my heart and soul into my business, Dr. Sally Parenting, and I love watching it grow. In addition, I keep myself "fit as a fiddle."
