Eric D. Knapp is a technophile who lives primarily in the various corners of the telecommunications industry. His professional duties allow him to spend time in even the smallest corners of the US, and his freelance writing is widely published in the telecom marketplace.

Eric sets aside time from his routine of daydreams and delusions to raise a small network of domestic computers, study various martial arts and tend to a small New England farm with his wife Maureen. He has written and published one novel as well as a multitude of smaller works. Influences range from the classic sci-fi authors (Asimov, Bradbury) to more contemporary literary authors like Vonnegut.

"To me, the best sci-fi stories have characters and plots that would work even outside of the futuristic or galactic backdrops that most people associate with the genre. Whether a character is mining an asteroid or working on Wall Street, the process of discovery and growth that drives that character is what will make a story readable and enjoyable. But at the same time, sci-fi allows us to create rich settings that aren't always possible in other genres. When the two elements combine, that's when great science fiction happens."
