It has been my joy to have had the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children struggling with issues such as divorce, stepfamilies and chronic illness. My joy would be complete if I had the opportunity to make them laugh with such fictional characters as Ralph (a neurotic shoe) or Glimmer (a tiny star). I receive affirming manuscript evaluations and have a notebook full of “positive” rejections, but have yet to find a home for my fun, creative, children's fiction manuscripts. Two of those manuscripts, "The Tiniest Glimmer" and "Ralph and Louie" have received awards at writer's conferences. I need an agent who believes in my work and who is willing to help me get it in the right hands.
Robin Prince Monroe and her family live in South Carolina. She is a consultant, writer, and mother of three special needs children.
Her first two books, Loss of a Loved One and Loss of a Dream, were published in 1994. She delights in writing for children; and has authored four picture books, including the best-selling God is Awesome. Her work has also appeared in Guideposts, Money Matters, and Special Education Today. She has received awards for her poetry and non-fiction and was named "Writer of the Year" at the 1998 Florida Christian Writer's Conference.
Robin believes that we were all made to be creative and that creativity is often the key to problem solving and possibilitiy. Working with companies like Media Networks(a division of AOL-Time Warner) and Time 4 Media, she and her brother Frank Prince take that maxim into the business world where they facilitate Leadership Seminars and Creative Problem Solving sessions across the country.
Asked how she approaches her busy days she answers, "Be still, pray---Then seize the day before it seizes you!"
