Always meets deadlines, word counts and content agreements and still finds time to surf! Regularly travels around the country to surf festivals comps and events.
Lives by the beach in Manly (Sydney, Australia) with 6 surfboards ranging from a fish to a 9’1”, a surfing husband who also writes, 65 pairs of shoes and hundreds of books.
Writes on surfing, yachting, food, career and lifestyle topics plus reviews books. Author of booktrade career guide (unsurprisingly titled) 'Careers in Publishing & Bookselling – how to get the job you want', published by Hale & Iremonger in 1997 and on the recommend reading lists or text lists for many Australian editing / publishing / writing courses.
Currently completing masters thesis titled 'Surfing Communications –How surfers communicate; moving from an oral to an electronic tradition'.
Also preparing for an exhibition of my surfing photographs at the end of 2004.
