Rabbi Lipman Podolsky, was born and raised in a non-observant Jewish home in Bangor, Maine (third generation). He later met Orthodox Judaism in what can be described as a roller-coaster of spiritual discovery. He has since made it his life-goal to share his experience and wisdom with others to assist them in their own personal development.
Lipman has studied for many years in both university (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Yeshiva University, University of Maine -- physics and engineering major), and yeshiva (Post-University Talmudic Academy). His unique blend of life experiences, timeless wisdom and warm wit endear him to his numerous students and readers. His personable yet professional style makes for enjoyable reading coupled with time-honored lessons for making the most of life.
He is an educator of college-age, English-speaking men and women in Jerusalem, and lectures extensively on Jewish subjects and contemporary life in both Israel and abroad. He has also served as the host of the famous Discovery Seminars in Jerusalem for the past eight years. In this capacity he has assisted Jews of all stripes to gain clarity concerning their own life-journeys. The dialogue achieved during these seminars has proven most rewarding.
His hobbies include: music (just produced first CD); art (watercolors mainly); psychology; education; public speaking; and of course, writing.
The author presently lives in Israel with his wife and seven energetic children.
