In 1993, after successful careers in the Military, Civil Service and Industry, I returned to full-time education to study for a degree in Media, Culture and Community Studies.
Graduating in 1998, I took up a post with Wiltshire College, firstly as a learning resource assistant and then as a lecturer. During my tenure with Wiltshire College, I taught an array of subjects including Mathematics, English, Business Studies and Information Communication Technology to students ranging from elementary level to University Graduates.
In July 2002, I left Britain for Ukraine in order to spend more time with my Ukrainian born wife. Since my arrival in Ukraine, I have been teaching ESL to adults and children, initially in the private sector and then at the Odessa Language Study Centre.
Since starting at the Odessa Language Study Centre, I have been researching, designing and developing a new language programme called Learner Controlled Tuition. To date, the programme has proven to be very successful and is popular among students studying for the Cambridge First Certificate in English.
My current projects include back to back books - "Violent Kingdom" and "Kingdom of the Damned". Both books are based on the true life story of a young woman who was trafficked and sold into prostitution by the Russian Mafia. The books are a moving tribute to one woman's struggle for survival and justice. Any agents or publishers interested in these two works, please contact me via e-mail.
Interests: I enjoy writing on contemporary issues such as crime, punishment and society (articles and essays published in newspapers and magazines). When I am not teaching or writing, I like going to the cinema and spending time with my family.
