My experience as a published writer,is yet to be realisd. However, I believe and intend to get my work published. As a youngster, I enjoyed reading poetry, but could not in many cases really comprehend the style of the poems I read. As I grew older, it seemed as though poetry was a language only people of a certain 'class', could truly understand and relate too. Then sometime later I came acorss the poems of William Carlos Williams and Ezra Pound. And I embraced the style of both men: the strong imagery, elements of the past, which seemed nested in their own personal expriences.
I too have a past, which I feel has augured well for my writing. Although I admire the form and styles of many other poets, namely: Maya Angelou, Donald Justice, Gertide Stein. I feel implored to develop and exhibit my own style, whilst appreciating the writings of those before
me.
